Escape from Adulthood is your chance to relive those moments while supporting the unique, developmentally appropriate, and much needed childhood program that is Play Adventures.
This outdoor, play-based experience will leave you happy, relaxed and playing like a kid again!

What to expect

If you have kids going to the Gala- Drop them off at the LODGE, sign them in and provide a phone number for the staff and volunteers there.

Go to Registration Booth- Provide your ID and give your name. Then you will receive a wrist band, drink tickets and a tote depending on your ticket.

'Escape from Adulthood' Story
Play Adventure’s upside-down gala is coming up on March 9th! The theme is 'Escape from Adulthood', and we are flipping the script on traditional gala models to give you something like you've never seen before!
No suits or fancy dresses at this event--we'll be hosting grown-ups in play clothes only at our facility on G Street, where you can mingle, get messy, buy drinks and have the Play Adventures experience. You'll have the opportunity to purchase a tote to fill with loose parts for your personal play and make your mark on our brand new space by creating art, building structures and playing to your heart’s content!

Absolutely no kids are allowed at this event! Why? Because we've designed a very special add-on child care experience for your kids right next door! While you're reliving your youth, they'll have the chance to feel "all grown up" as they dress up fancy, eat pizza and enjoy a dance party and a movie! You can even take a break from your own play to send them a dessert during our auction.
Play Adventure is making a difference in the world through play, and we look forward to playing with you at this one-of-a-kind event on March 9th!

Where is the event happening?
At Play Adventures new site on the fairgrounds. Address: 655 G Street, Merced.
When?
Saturday, March 9th 5:00-9:00 pm
Who is welcome at this event?
All adults are welcome! If childcare is needed, we offer an additional 'Kids Gala' option.
What will we do at this event?
You will have the opportunity to play your way! During the messy, fun, weird and amazing evening, you will get to bid on desserts and other FUNdraiser type auctions. Beverages will be available for purchase, buffet-style dinner is included in your ticket purchase, and will include a fun variety of starters and entrees. Coffee, tea and water will be complimentary. We will end the night with a local live band.
Where will the Kids Gala be and what will they be doing?
The kids get to dress up fancy and go to a gala at the Lodge at the
fairgrounds (3 minutes walk from the 'Escape from Adulthood' event). They will be served a dinner of pizza and fruit and veggie trays, have a dance party, shout out to sponsors and then sit down to watch a rated G movie with popcorn (and be calm before pick up).
How young can the kids be?
Ages 3 and up are welcome with the purchase of an adult ticket. And yes, there will be a tiny bit of paperwork to fill out.
How do I become a sponsor?
Sign up above. You will not be charged with the sign up. This is to reserve your
sponsorship. We will then follow up with an email about how to proceed with payment.
I want to be a sponsor but I'm not sure which one to choose!
